These guys were in full gallop heading right for our car. You could hear their heavy breathing as they came closer to us. It was so exciting to experience. The herd lives in the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge in Colorado. The herd is about 150 strong. You can see Bald Eagles, Deer, Wild Turkey, Coyote, many water fowl and Prairie Dogs. The refuge is 15,000 acres. Beautiful place.
My name is Kelly Kennon and I have enjoyed photography for many years using film, digital and underwater photography. I'm mainly self taught with a few college level classes and workshops. My love for animals and nature is evident in my choice of subjects. The animals I photograph are truly wild and the landscapes are original. I've learned that wildlife photography is challenging and requires patience - and a lot of luck. My goal is to continue to learn and grow my photography skills to capture the amazing world of nature. I am a member of the Valley River Arts Guild at the Murphy Art Center. I hope you enjoy my photography. Thank you, Kelly Kennon Kelly Kennon Photography
